One winter morning, Mr. Shrew realizes his wife is missing. He assumes it's just a winter shrinking typical of his species, but in this case, so severe that "she's no longer visible." The forest inhabitants agree to be close to Mr. Shrew and support him in coping with his loss. This play is a story about the grieving process, in which loved ones play a crucial role.
