Comedy, Drama |
Lea's abrupt arrival-Ariel's mother-with her disheveled suitcase and conspiracy theories about her husband and the housekeeper trying to strip her of all her belongings further disrupts the household. Ariel, already juggling his children and daily responsibilities, must now also deal with this unstable mother, who swings between tenderness and accusations, and becomes fixated on the garage on Pasteur-an otherwise useless space she imagines a neighbor is eager to take over. Olga leaves for Texas on business, handing Ariel a list of responsibilities that includes doctors' appointments, school matters, and the babies. As he tries to locate the car-which seems to have vanished-he moves through rooms filled with their own self-contained worlds: Leo with his evasiveness, Beca reproaching him for not teaching her how to drive, and Gregor absorbed in the piano. Beneath these layers of demands and the constant feeling of never being able to finish anything, Ariel becomes a tightrope walker, holding together a family that always asks a little more of him.
