On October 27, 2005, Bouna Traoré and Zyed Benna, aged 15 and 17, were electrocuted in Clichy-sous-Bois while trying to escape from the police. This tragedy sparked three weeks of unprecedented riots across France. For the first time since the Algerian War, a state of emergency was declared. Twenty years later, with all the protagonists involved, following the thread of events, a piece of collective history is told. How did this tragedy, initially reduced to a simple news item, become the crucible of all fears, the symbol of the crisis in the suburbs, and a full-fledged episode in the social history of France?
