A boy with a vivid imagination and an exceptionally gifted girl use misdirection, lots of moxie, and a magic show to save a small town and its ancient treasures from the hold of two crooks. Along their journey, the two apprentices transform into full-fledged magicians, and transition from childhood to adolescence. Sometimes, illusion is the only way to fix reality.
