Alina, a Belarusian immigrant who has escaped a past of misery, often finds herself subjected to mistrust, racism, and... blackmail. A sadistic fate-with a dark sense of humor-forces her to face the worst nightmare of her past while offering her a way out. Her freedom, unfortunately, comes at a price, and Alina decides to put her fear and loathing aside by accepting a well-paid but decidedly unusual job.
