During a big game at Bronx Buds' home field, Riv accidentally steps on the foul line chalk and everything unravels. Suddenly, no player can connect with the ball, storm clouds roll in, and the game is rained out. Just when the Bronx Buds think it can't get worse, a one eyed pigeon swoops overhead and drops a surprise squarely on Riv's head. They head to Papa Sardines for advice at his pizzeria, and the team learns of an old legend: the Curse of the One Eyed Pigeon, said to doom any Bronx Buds team that angers it. To save their season and their love of baseball, they plunge into a mystery hidden beneath the stadium, uncovering forgotten relics from legendary Bronx Buds teams of the past. Following clues through shadowy tunnels and dusty memorabilia, they race against time to solve the curse. With seconds left before the game is lost forever, Riv takes the mound and fires a blistering fastball. Bash launches it deep for a dramatic home run.
