Journalist Michal Kutera receives an unexpected parcel. These are cassettes recording an investigation conducted in the spring of 1995 by reporter Ewa Latecka regarding the Arka sect operating in the town of Niebo Podlaskie. Shortly thereafter, not only Latecka, but also all members of the sect, including the charismatic leader Leslaw Tejkor, disappeared in unexplained circumstances. The case concerns Michal personally: members of the sect were suspected of murdering his father, a former anti-communist activist and member of the Sejm of the first term. Michal begins his own investigation, wanting to solve a dark mystery from three decades ago. He quickly encounters a conspiracy of silence, and all signs suggest that he should withdraw.
