Newly arrived in Bianjing, Madam Li is turned away by the housekeeper of her second daughter, Fu Hui. Madam Li and her three daughters get settled at an inn while her third daughter, Kang Ning, sneaks back to the Fan Mansion to find her second sister. Kang Ning and Fu Hui return to the inn where Fu Hui explains why she didn't receive them earlier that day. Fu Hui teaches her husband Fan Liang Han a lesson with third sister's help. Liang Han's friends crash the women's garden party and get caught by third sister then beaten up by fifth sister with a hoe. They go running to Liang Han and Chai An, who "accidentally" hits a cuju ball at third sister, breaking her hair pin.
