A father and son exchange stories in the family kitchen one evening. The father tells of theater ushers, mysterious disappearances, pie bakers, and a missing ring. Unsatisfied with his father's stories, the son decides to tell his own story of a beautiful Queen who tells the most wondrous stories. What begins as a lighthearted exchange evolves into something much darker bringing to the surface recent events that the father cannot stomach.
