This was a charity 24hr TELETHON to Raise money for Charity by the ITV NETWORK it lasted 2 years and was scrapped. Children in need took its place. I worked on both year 1 and year 2 donating my salary for myself and colleagues and the Camera crane hire fee also I'll have to check archive I think it was 1988 & 1989
