In a rural Taiwanese village, rice overproduction leads to needed changes. Lin Yun-feng, an expert sent by the government, advocates for switching from rice to flower crops but faces opposition from many villagers. Jou Yeong-jiann, a young villager who dreams of a different life, is assigned to help her.
