A lawyer, Jacques gets a visit from Gaétan, who his wife Jacqueline's infidelity. Jacques throws out his wife who takes refuge with a lover, Pierre. Pierre consequently breaks up with his fiancee, Simone. A detective, Duvernois, hired to follow his wife, only complicates matters. Eventually Jacques and Jacqueline are reconciled and Pierre marries Simone.
